About
Description
Ayurveda is the oldest known system of medicine originated in India, the land of Devatas, about 5000 years ago. It is based on the principle that a balance in the three doshas in the body, Vatta, Pita and Kapha, is equivalent to health while its imbalance leads to diseases/ disorders. It integrates the astute thoughts of science and philosophy. Ayurveda works to not only cure a specific disease but to get to the roots and treat the cause as well.
The main aim here is a long, healthy life holistically, i.e. a healthy mind, body and soul. Ayurveda believes the human body as a closed system, where everything happens on its own i.e. most of the times if not all the body's immune system is capable of curing the itself. Thus the aim of Ayurveda is not just the cure of a disease but its prevention through cleansing and rejuvenation.
The treatment starts with the initial examination of the patients medical history and the current lifestyle pattern by our Ayurveda Physicians to understand the body's Ayurvedic Tridosha model. Then a suitable line of treatment is prescribed underlining the daily routine including Yoga, Meditation, walks, diet and Ayurveda therapy. This treatment is disease specific and thus shall vary for all individuals.
The name Panchakarma literally means “Five Actions” which is well-suited given the fact that this technique relies upon five distinctive basic activities that control the body namely Vaman, Virechan, Nasyam, Basti and Raktmokshan. Panchakarma healing technique is a pillar on which majority of Ayurvedic techniques stand. Panchakarma works best with the utilization of medicated oils that helps in eliminating the impurities from the human body. Panchakarma is the true manifestation of the Ayurvedic values and it lives up to its reputation.
