Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple Kerala
Sacred to Lord Krishna, Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple on the bank of holy river Pamba attracts a good number of tourists from across India. In the temple, Lord Krishna is worshiped in the form of Parthasarathy, which is another name of Krishna on account of his character as charioteer of Arjun in Mahabharat. According to the locals. the idol of the main deity of the temple was brought here in a raft made with aru (six) pieces of mula (bamboo), and that's how the temple was known as Aranmula. Inside the temple, one can see many 18th century murals. Constructed in a typical Kerala style of architecture, the temple is one of the "Divya Desams", the 108 temples of Vishnu revered by the 12 poet saints, or Alwars located near Aranmula, a village in Pathanamthitta District, Kerala, South India. Aranmula is also famous for the annual Snake Boat Race held in the Pamba River nearby.

Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple is located in Pathanamthitta district and is well connected with the cities like Pathanamthitta, Pandalam, and Chengannur via a public transport.
