Hazara Pukhuri Tezpur
One of the most visited attractions in Tezpur is Hazara Pukhuri, which is the third largest water tank in the city. This reservoir covers an area of about 70 acres. This huge tank was excavated during the 19th century and has got its name from a famous personality named Hazara Varman. The existence of these pukhuris keeps the city cool during the summer season. The huge size of the lake makes the site very beautiful and charming.

There is another tank which is located very close to the Hazara pukhuri and is known by the name Padum Pukhuri. Both these reservoirs are located near the Bamuni Hills which is another attraction of Tezpur. Taking a walk around the beautiful lake and sitting on the cool grass for some time will definitely refresh your mind and soul.
