Durga Khoh Chunar

Dedicated to Goddess Durga, Durga Khoh is a highly revered Hindu shrine in Chunar. The temple is located on a small stream called Jhirna Nala. The temple site is hardly a km away from Chunar Railway Station. Durga Koh temple is located near a rock-shelter, the back wall of which is adorned with various inscriptions and figures. It is also one of the oldest temples in Chunar, and hence, remains flocked with a large number of people, both devotees and tourists.

The temple of Durga Khoh remains open all days a week. Tourists can perform a pilgrimage to the temple on any day from sunrise to sunset.

Durga Khoh can be visited throughout the year. However, the best time to visit the temple is the winter season, which commences in October and ends in February. It is marked by pleasant weather conditions.
